“A college degree is not a sign that one is a finished product but an indication a person is prepared for life.”

On 27 July 2016, the College conducted orientation programme to receive the new batch of postgraduate students, belonging to the Departments of English, Commerce and Social Work. The orientation programme began with the prayer song followed by the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Mary Angeline, Head, Department of Social Work and some parents of the students of first year students of M.A., MSW and M.Com respectively.

Superior Bro. O. Francis, delivered a short speech, welcoming the students. Dr. M. Ravichandran, Principal gave valuable suggestions on study skills for learning on and off campus with an emphasis on knowledge and its other dimensions. Dr. Geetha Rufus, Vice Principal oriented the students from academics and college norms to resources and support services. Mr. K. Prudhvi Kumar, student of II M.A and P.G. Representative shared his experiences of being a postgraduate student on the campus and highlighted the need to function as the acting role models for the individual and the institutional growth.

The formal programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Lakshmi Kumari, Head, Department of English. The freshers interacted with the faculty, Heads of departments and administration staff in informal conversations to clarify their doubts about academics and other activities.
